Until summer 2005, jetskiers were allowed to use the harbour slipway as long as they stayed clear of the nearby East Cliff sands, a popular swimming beach.
These lads couldn't quite manage that. The only place they wanted to use their machines was... within a stone's throw of the swimmers. Two weeks later, all jetskiers were permanently banned from the harbour.
